Bridge Program

• The Bridge Program works with ÎÞ¾¡×ÊÔ´²É¼¯ High students who are returning from a hospital and/or treatment center due to emotional or medical reasons.

METCO Program

• The Metropolitan Council for Educational Opportunity (METCO), a state funded, voluntary educational desegregation program designed to eliminate racial imbalance through busing.

Nurse¡¯s Office

• The school nurses see students throughout the school day for a wide variety of reasons including injury and illness management as well as for social and emotional issues.

English Language Learner Program

• The ESL teacher provides direct English language development instruction for students who are in the process of learning English.

Student Support Team (SST)

• The SST identifies students who are not on preexisting Individual Education Plans and are in need of additional academic and/or social and emotional support.

Academic Resource Center (ARC)

• The Academic Resource Center (ARC) is a program designed to provide temporary tiered intervention to
  help identify appropriate supports for struggling learners. The ultimate goal is to graduate students
  from the program with the necessary skills to independently and successfully achieve academic
  success at ÎÞ¾¡×ÊÔ´²É¼¯ High School.

Special Education

• In accordance with federal and state laws and regulations, students identified as eligible for special education have an Individualized Educational Program (IEP) that is designed by a Team of individuals that includes district professionals, the parents/guardians, and the student, when appropriate.

Gateways Program

• The Gateways Program is an academic and therapeutic program designed to assist ÎÞ¾¡×ÊÔ´²É¼¯ High School students with managing the challenges associated to high school life.

• Cornerstones is a therapeutic learning center designed to assist students with social and emotional challenges.

School Psychologists

• Main responsibilities consist of counseling, testing, and consultation. Students are most often referred through the IEP process or through the students¡¯ guidance counselor.

Crisis Response Team

• The Crisis Response Team is comprised of members of our faculty, staff and administration who come together on a regular basis to review safety protocols and establish procedures.

ÎÞ¾¡×ÊÔ´²É¼¯ Police Department

• The WPD provides a School Resource Officer who is in close communication with the schools to support the needs of the students and their families.
