The Hardy PTO invites Hardy students, siblings, parents and caregivers to a fun afternoon of skating from 1:15 to 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday, January 21st, at at the Babson College Skating Center, 150 Great Plain Ave., ÎÞ¾¡×ÊÔ´²É¼¯.

The PTO will cover the cost and there is no need to sign up, just show up! A waiver is required; an adult will need to sign one at the door. This is NOT a drop off event – students need a parent chaperone. If kids have their own skates they should bring them. Skate rentals are available at no-cost on a first-come, first-served basis, but popular sizes may run out! Helmets are not available to rent, bringing your own is recommended and encouraged. Hardy School will once again host the popular International Night, a vibrant celebration of the many cultures that make our community special, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 5th.

The Hardy community will enjoy an evening of music, dance, poetry, storytelling, martial arts, traditional demonstrations and other performances that highlight a culture or heritage. There will be fun table activities and hands-on experiences, such as crafts, language stations, games and cultural displays. A highlight of the event will be a performance by the International Chorus, led by our very own music teacher, Mr. Corcoran.

We would like to remind parents that as a rule of thumb, we will have outdoor arrival and recess unless the temperature drops below 20 degrees F real feel.  We use the weather site accuweather.com to monitor and make a determination regarding indoor or outdoor recess.

Boots, hats, socks and mittens or gloves and possibly snowpants are necessary for outdoor play. 

Please remember to make sure your child brings sneakers to change into for physical education and shoes or sneakers for classroom activities.
