They have to stay in that class and do a partial project<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If a student cuts a class during third quarter, they will not be will not be able to sign out of that class<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Students who are suspended from school may not be allowed to participate.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Multiple unexcused absences from classes may result in removal from project<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Failure to report to job site without a reason may result in removal from project<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A senior will receive an <\/span><b>N<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> grade if they miss a total of 6 class periods in the fourth term, including excused or unexcused absences in a class that meets 5 or 6 times per cycle.\u00a0 If there are extenuating circumstances presented to the student\u2019s Assistant Principal, the Assistant Principal may allow the student to receive a letter grade for the 4th term.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">English<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All 12th-grade ACP and H English courses at WHS will hold Senior Speeches during Quarter 4<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All students participating in Senior Project are expected to return to class to attend all Senior Speeches<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All 12th-grade English teachers will create a Senior Speech Schedule for their course(s) and distribute the schedule to students before the end of Quarter 3\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Math<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Non AP classes<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">T3 grade is C or better, no class cuts<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">T4 grade will be SP<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AP classes<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All students stay in the class unless they get a letter from their college that they can show to their counselor and\/or teacher<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After AP exam, if they are current and have a C, they can go on full project<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PE<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Q4 students must stay<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">S2 students &#8211; They must inform their colleges prior to doing so.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If the student needs the credits, they have to stay<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Family and Consumer Sciences<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Project Development:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Students must present a final summary of the shared text connecting the reading to class experiences and the end of Q3 and earn a passing grade.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Marketing<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: Students must pass a test at the end of Q3 or present an Expert Review and earn a passing grade.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Fashion and Merchandising: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students must pass a comprehensive test at the end of Q3 OR complete and present a project<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Intro to Child Development\/Teaching Young Children\/Child Lab<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: Students must demonstrate solid work and effort during Q3<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Global Marketing + Business Law: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students who choose to go on Senior Project will only receive credit for Q3<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Child Lab Intensive:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Students must pass Q3 and meet all course expectations<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Overall expectations A C- in one class does not keep students off project completely.
