  {"id":2801,"date":"2020-01-23T11:33:31","date_gmt":"2020-01-23T16:33:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wellesleyps.org\/whs\/?page_id=2801"},"modified":"2020-01-23T11:38:30","modified_gmt":"2020-01-23T16:38:30","slug":"from-the-whs-health-office","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/wellesleyps.org\/whs\/back-to-school-packet\/from-the-whs-health-office\/","title":{"rendered":"From the WHS Health Office"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We hope that you had a restful and relaxing summer.\u00a0 Here are some reminders and helpful information as you prepare for the new school year:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>PowerSchool<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is very important that you update your Family\/Emergency contact information online with <\/span><b>PowerSchool<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and give permission for emergency medical treatment and transport if needed.\u00a0 It is essential we know how to reach you in case of a medical emergency.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Many parents give permission for their child to receive acetaminophen or ibuprofen during the school day if needed. Please indicate your permission in<\/span><b> PowerSchool.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Medication at School<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If your son\/daughter uses an inhaler, Epipen, or takes a medication at school, please bring the medication along with a completed permission form to the nurse\u2019s office on the first day of school.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For any medication to be given at school, including inhalers, Epi-Pens and insulin both parent permission and a written doctor\u2019s order must be on file in the nurse\u2019s office.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Parent and doctor permission forms may be downloaded from the High School Website under: Student Services- Nursing Services &#8211; Health Forms.\u00a0 The Medication Administration Policy can also be found in the same location on the website.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Additional Information<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The school nurses are available to help students with medical issues transition back to school.
