{"id":2207,"date":"2018-11-20T13:24:19","date_gmt":"2018-11-20T18:24:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wellesleyps.org\/whs\/?page_id=2207"},"modified":"2024-07-03T10:49:18","modified_gmt":"2024-07-03T14:49:18","slug":"student-support-team","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/wellesleyps.org\/whs\/students\/whs-available-supports\/student-support-team\/","title":{"rendered":"Student Support Team"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Purpose of the Student Support Team:<\/h3>\n<p>To identify students who are not on preexisting Individual Education Plans and are in need of additional academic and\/or social and emotional support.<\/p>\n<h3>How often do we meet?<\/h3>\n<p>Each house in the high school holds a meeting once each cycle (one time every seven days).<\/p>\n<h3>Who attends these meetings?<\/h3>\n<p>House Assistant Principal, Counselors, School Psychologists, Nurse, Director of School Counseling, SPED Director, Teacher Representatives.<\/p>\n<h3>How are students referred?<\/h3>\n<p>There are many possible ways a student may be referred to the Student Support Team. The most common include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Teacher concern regarding either academic, social\/emotional or attendance.<\/li>\n<li>Guidance concern regarding either academic, social\/emotional or attendance.<\/li>\n<li>Poor academic performance or poor attendance.<\/li>\n<li>Parent request<\/li>\n<li>Assistant Principal referral as a result of a disciplinary issue.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Purpose of the Student Support Team: To identify students who are not on preexisting Individual Education Plans and are in need of additional academic and\/or social and emotional support.
