{"id":1357,"date":"2021-01-28T23:04:59","date_gmt":"2021-01-29T04:04:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wellesleyps.org\/technology\/?p=1357"},"modified":"2021-01-28T23:07:27","modified_gmt":"2021-01-29T04:07:27","slug":"zoom-and-multi-tasking-on-the-ipad","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wellesleyps.org\/technology\/2021\/01\/28\/zoom-and-multi-tasking-on-the-ipad\/","title":{"rendered":"Zoom and Multi-Tasking on the iPad"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students are now able to use the multi-task function on the iPad and their cameras will remain turned on.\u00a0 The camera only stays on when they are multi-tasking (i.e both apps are open at the same time).\u00a0 Here is a screenshot of Zoom and Jamboard open at the same time.\u00a0 Notice that all cameras are still active.\u00a0 This will also work in a breakout room.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/drawings\/d\/e\/2PACX-1vSGjaBu0wpQCXoxKTcj0vRAn9xvZchSa4qCoWmKMpfOQfxXUyKvvKYEdbgl6iTWuamqDx0zHyOvtY2y\/pub?w=694&amp;h=268\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When could this be valuable?\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students who need non-verbal prompting during a lesson.\u00a0 The student can now have a Google Doc or a Google slide open during a zoom session.\u00a0 They now have access to their supports outside the zoom session.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Listening to text read aloud.\u00a0 The teacher can read a text aloud and the student can have that document open in a side-by-side window.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Following steps for opening an assignment &#8211;
