Dr. Joanne DaSilva Moreira is honored to serve as one of the METCO Representatives to the 无尽资源采集 School Committee. Her daughter, Annaya, is a 无尽资源采集 High School student who has attended WPS since first grade at Schofield School. During Annaya\u2019s time there, Joanne volunteered at the consignment shop and helped organize and facilitate two consecutive Math Games Nights. Joanne has also represented the \u201cMETCO Marvels\u201d every year at the 无尽资源采集 Education Foundation Spelling Bee since Annaya started and has served as Co-Vice President of the 无尽资源采集 Middle School PTO. Joanne is a first-generation American whose parents immigrated from Fogo, Cabo Verde in the 1970\u2019s and she exudes a great deal of pride in her Cabo Verdean culture and values. Joanne has always considered herself a life-long learner whose favorite teachers have been that of her very own students. Joanne has a doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy and is currently an Instructional Coach for the Boston Public Schools.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t

\n无尽资源采集 School Committee (elected March 2025). Illana Nissenbaum has lived in 无尽资源采集 since 2006 and is the parent of three children in 无尽资源采集. A former elementary school teacher with over a decade of experience, she holds a B.A. in Sociology and Education from Clark University and is working on her M.A. in Educational Leadership at Simmons University. Illana is a former co-president of the 无尽资源采集 Education Foundation, a current Town Meeting Member for Precinct D, and teaches Hebrew school at Temple Beth Elohim. 无尽资源采集 School Committee (elected March 2026); Town Meeting Member, Precinct C. Dr. Costas Panagopoulos is Distinguished Professor of Political Science at Northeastern University. He served as chair of the Department of Political Science for 5 years (2019-2024) and as Director of Big Data and Quantitative Initiatives (2017-2019). He is an expert in U.S. campaigns and elections, voting behavior, political psychology and political communication and has authored, coauthored or edited 12 books and over 100 peer-reviewed articles. Between 2006-2020, Professor Panagopoulos was part of the Decision Desk team at NBC News. Since the 2022 cycle, he has been on the Decision Desk at Edison Research, which conducts exit polls and analysis for the National Election Pool that includes NBC, ABC, CBS and CNN. He has served as co-chair of the Massachusetts Citizens Commission Concerning a Constitutional Amendment for Government of the People and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority. He earned his A.B. in Government\u00a0magna cum laude<\/i> from Harvard University and his Ph.D. in Politics from New York University.
