It’s exciting to think that tomorrow marks the first day of March!  March is shaping up to be a busy month here at Bates, with several special events such as the Book Fair, Bates in Bloom and spring parent teacher conferences. We look forward to celebrating these events together as a community.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Bates Book Fair<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Bates Book Fair is next week! A huge thank you to our dedicated PTO for organizing and running this event year after year. Our students and families truly appreciate this special opportunity to explore and enjoy books together.  Students will visit the Book Fair during their class\u2019s scheduled library time, with the exception of first grade.  Please see the list of times below.  In addition, the Book Fair will be open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:00 – 8:30 am and Wednesday evening for Family Night from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm.  Families are welcome to visit during any of these times.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Bates PTO is committed to ensuring that every child has the chance to purchase a book. Next week parents and guardians will have the opportunity to sign up for a spring conference with your child\u2019s teacher.  I will send conference sign up links in an email on Wednesday, March 5 at 11:00 am.  Please contact the Bates office if you would like assistance signing up for a conference.  <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

WPS Family STEAM Night<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

WPS invites families to our second annual <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Family STEAM Night, Monday, March 10, 2025 from 6:00 – 7:30 at the Hunnewell School Cafeteria.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a>  STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math.  We will have STEAM tables and activities set up in which students can participate.  These will include, but are not limited to, programming robots, math games, science shadow puppets, novel engineering and more.  As a bonus, students from Babson College’s Innovation Lab Weissman Foundry, and our Robotics First Team will join us to showcase some of their amazing work.  A light dinner of pizza, veggies, cheese and crackers and water will be provided.  Join us for a fun filled and very active evening!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
