Dear Bates,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I hope you enjoyed the relatively warmer temperatures today!  Please remember that we go outside whenever we can, so please send students dressed for outside play each day.  <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The first week of the breakfast program was a success.  Thank you for ensuring that students eating breakfast arrive at school at 8:15 in order to have time to eat and get to class by 8:30.  <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

As you may be aware, each spring students in grades 3-5 take <\/span><\/span><\/span>the Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS).  The MCAS is a set of statewide standardized tests.  Students in grades 3-5 take the MCAS in English language arts and math.  In addition, students in grade 5 take a science, engineering and technology test.  At the end of this email is the schedule of tests for your calendars.  <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
